Christina Toups, CCM, CCE, General Manager of Ridglea Country Club, 
Named 2016 TLSC Manager of the Year
Christina Toups, CCM, CCE, General Manager of Ridglea Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, was named Manager of the Year by her peers of the Texas Lone Star Chapter (TLSC) of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA).  This prestigious award is given annually to a club manager who exemplifies professionalism in club management and embodies the characteristics, ethics and standards toward which all practitioners of club management should strive.  “Christina personifies the spirit of this prestigious award.  Her passion for people is unparalleled and all who know her have benefited from her generosity and infectious personality.  Christina’s substantial contributions to our association over the last two decades have advanced the organization and the club management profession,” says Cindy Davis, CCM, CCE, Past President of the Texas Lone Star Chapter.  
Originally from Austin, TX, Ms. Toups attended the University of North Texas’ College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, where she joined CMAA as a student member.  Her club management career has included prestigious properties such as the Austin Country Club, Houston Country Club, Victoria Country Club, Balcones Country Club, and Ridglea Country Club, where she has resided as General Manager since 2002.

Ms. Toups earned the designation of Certified Club Manager (CCM) in 1997.  In 2003, she was inducted into CMAA’s prestigious Honor Society, symbolizing a lifelong commitment to excellence in the field of private club management.  In 2009, Ms. Toups earned the designation of Certified Chief Executive (CCE).      
 
Christina Toups is a current Director for the Club Managers Association of America, a Past President of the Texas Lone Star Chapter of CMAA and is the sixth recipient of the Chapter's Manager of the Year Award.

The Texas Lone Star Chapter will honor Ms. Toups during the Fall State Meeting Awards Dinner at the River Oaks Country Club in Houston, TX on Sunday, November 13, 2016.

About the TLSC: The Texas Lone Star Chapter is the local professional chapter of the CMAA. The Chapter’s 250 members operate over 140 clubs throughout the state of Texas. Established in 1948, the chapter provides professional development and resources to its members and encourages the professional growth and community involvement of its members.
