DOL’s New Overtime Exemption Rule:
What Every Club Leader Should Know

Join us online for a complimentary webinar with Brad Steele, founder of Private Club Consultants, for an update on the Department of Labor's new Overtime Exemption Rule.
Under this rule, the number of club employees entitled to OT pay could increase significantly. As such, club leaders will likely have to make substantial operational changes to avoid a major surge in OT costs.
Thankfully, this new Rule has two start dates – July 1 and January 1. While having some phase-in time is helpful, each date brings hefty jumps to the minimum weekly salary for exempt employees. In addition, each date changes the yearly salary that highly compensated employees must receive to be exempt from OT. In other words, it’s imperative that clubs begin reviewing which employees are exempt now and preparing for what needs to be done to keep them that way in the future.
