Curtis Kelley, CCM, General Manager of Preston Trail Golf Club Club, 
Named 2018 TLSC Manager of the Year
Curtis Kelley, CCM, General Manager of Preston Trail Golf Club in Dallas, Texas, was named Manager of the Year by his peers of the Texas Lone Star Chapter (TLSC) of the Club Management Association of America (CMAA).  This prestigious award is given annually to a club manager who exemplifies professionalism in club management and embodies the characteristics, ethics and standards toward which all practitioners of club management should strive.  “Curt personifies the spirit of this prestigious award.  His passion for people is unparalleled and all who know him have benefited from his generosity and infectious personality.  Curt’s substantial contributions to our association have advanced the organization and the club management profession,” says Graham House, Immediate Past President of the Texas Lone Star Chapter. 
Mr. Kelley joined the Club Management Association of America as a student member in 1994, while enrolled in the University of North Texas’ hospitality program.  Upon graduating from UNT, Curt worked as an Assistant Manager at Lakewood Country Club in Dallas, TX.  In 1998, Kelley accepted the Clubhouse Manager position at Hurricane Creek Country Club (Anna, TX) before being named General Manager of Preston Trail Golf Club in 2000. 

In 2007, Mr. Kelley earned the designation of Certified Club Manager (CCM), CMAA’s hallmark professional certification.  He is a Past President of the Texas Lone Star Chapter of CMAA (2014), Chairman of the Chapter’s Yellow Rose Ball Committee and a currently serves on the CMAA Club Foundation’s Allocation Committee.  Curt Kelley, CCM is the eighth recipient of the Chapter’s Manager of the Year Award. 


The Texas Lone Star Chapter will honor Mr. Kelley during the Chapter’s Fall State Meeting Awards Dinner at San Antonio Country Club on Sunday, November 11, 2018.
